soft skin hard venture

In this work I focused on azulejo tiles which are distinctive elements of Mediterranean architecture. These blue-white tiles can be seen in any public space such as railway stations, on the facade of an ordinary house, schools, city halls, restaurants etc. Like an open air museum they enrich the city and serve equitably. They narrate through their patterns, move by time, host propagating plants, remember, alter and create layers. Stagnant looking yet very alive witnesses, they cover the city as quilts.
